It is an exciting time when you are ready to buy your first motorcycle, but it also can be confusing because there is so many models of motorcycles to choose, this is happen to me. The first thing to do before you buying a motorcycle is research, my current spreadsheet on motorcycles contains 10 line items, each representing a model from the major player. It is better if you can make one really narrow that down a bit to get started

This is some suggestion to you before you buying your first motorcycle :

1.     Step one, if you have not take a riding course, consider to take a motorcycle riding course, and you also need to reading my how to ride a motorcycle article. That gives you some clues how much you think you can handle on your own motorcycle.

2.     Step two, choose your style, some people are absolutely certain they want a sporty style or a cruiser. If you are not sure in what you want, just keep an open mind, especially for the first bike that is rarely the dream bike. Motorcycle Riders Communication Symbol

Some times we riding motorcycle in a group, It is fun and more enjoying the riding when you hang out with your friends, right? Riders give the hand wave in greeting to another as a sign of acknowledgment of being on the road ‘together’. May be it means, “Hi there, good to see you riding, if I see you in some sort of trouble, I will help”. It is not restricted to any make/ model motorbike you are riding.

The biker hand wave is highly individual and there is no right or wrong. In fact, a head nod is considered highly acceptable, although is less visible and therefore can be construed as stuck-up if the other rider misses it. Here’s a fun look at the subject.

As to the other symbols, we have never found a really great guide to the meanings of foot pegs and helmet placement, but feel that these could just as easily be local customs rather than national. Like gang colors, beware mimicking without understanding and always remember, it’s usually free to ask. The choice to wave is personal. Some hardcore riders do not wave, some sporty bikers do not wave, some people in general do not wave. Do not take this personally. Read the rest of this entry »

Sometimes, you have to let go of the things that you love the most. You probably want to sell your motorcycles for one reason or another, say, you need extra money, or you’re buying a new one or simply because there’s lack of space in your garage.

So, where do you start? How do you find good buyers and how do you communicate with them? Here are some useful tips:

1. Bring the bike’s glory first

The first thing that you need to make sure of is that your motorcycle needs to be in top shape when you sell it. Getting the dirt off and changing a few peripherals can really shoot up the value of your motorcycle. Also, make sure that you ask a mechanic to check if there is anything to repair or replace. A bad motorcycle component can ruin a deal and ruin your reputation as a seller.

2. Browse the names from your current network

If you already know someone who has interest in purchasing a second-hand motorcycle, then you should offer your motorcycle to them first. Choosing people from your own network can remove many of the hassles and obstacles that come along with the selling process. If you are inclined towards selling the motorcycle at a “friendlier” price to someone you know, make sure to weigh the amount that you would have spent in waiting for another buyer from outside. You shouldn’t be on the losing end of the bargain. Read the rest of this entry »
